Wow I don’t think I was aware of this flip to country, aren’t they oldies now?. This is the original “Q” station.. as in Q-Zoo. The format that KKBQ Houston modeled itself after then went country just like these guys did just over a year later
They are Classic Hits now. Swapped formats with sister 92.5 WYUU in 2002 with both stations being rebranded. “Oldies 104.7” later returned to the “Q105” brand in 2005.
Wow gotta give that a listen. KKBQ recycled their CHR jingles for their country format. They took a top 40 approach. It worked very well for them. I wasn’t a fan of the new format.. not a country fan

and q105 is using the same jingles that they used in their top40 days, i think mason dixon still does mornings there.
