That was great! I loved it! Right in the middle of a song…surprise! New radio station! (lol, at least the oldies crowd KNEW to switch over to the AM side…lol)

Its doubtful anybody other than radio geeks were listening. The station was a brand new signal that was testing with a simulcasting of 1600 KXOL. The launch of the Eagle was merely the official launch of unique programming on the station.

I was actually watching “Finding Nemo” in a second-run movie theater back when I was in college. I remember having the recording going at home and sneaking a Walkman (boy, I’m old) with headphones into the theater — and being distracted from the movie because I was listening to the radio. Good times.
