The Zone, in my opinion, just seemed to good to be true and it was.. I just didn’t see Cox putting the effort it required into it when they flipped The Point to The Zone. They are just very lackadaisical with their stations here in Houston.

Anyone know what happened to the clip of the earlier flip to KHPT The Point? It used to be on here but it’s vanished for some reason… it was a pretty awesome format change because they stunted with a pretend Jazz format for like the first 30 seconds before launching the 80’s themed The Point. (They even used the call letters KZJZ temporarily before switching to KHPT)

A few of the airchecks that had been formatted differently were pulled to re-edit as they became incompatible with our new audio player. Its in the pipeline to return to the site at some point in March.
